From the vastness of space, Artemis II mission pilot Victor Glover spoke of God and humanity’s divine connection as he gazed upon Earth. When asked about his thoughts on Easter, he responded, “I don’t have anything prepared. I’m glad you brought it up, though; I think these observances are important.”

He then shared an impromptu sentiment rooted in scripture: “You guys are talking to us because we’re in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you’re on a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us a place to live in the universe. Maybe the distance we are from you makes you think what we’re doing is special, but we’re the same distance from you. And I’m trying to tell you – just trust me – you are special.”

Glover’s words continued a godly tradition among astronauts. In 1968, as America grappled with the Vietnam War and racial unrest, Apollo 8 astronaut Frank Borman read from Genesis, bringing comfort and perspective to billions worldwide. While orbiting the moon on December 24, 1968, the Apollo 8 crew read the first ten verses of Genesis during a live television broadcast that reached approximately a quarter of Earth’s population. Mission commander Frank Borman concluded with, “And from the crew of Apollo 8, we close with good night, good luck, a Merry Christmas, and God bless all of you, all of you on the good Earth.”

Similarly, Apollo 11’s crew took communion on the lunar surface.

In a Truth Social post, President Trump concluded a message directed at the Iranian regime with, “Glory be to God!”

The U.S. airman rescued in Southwest Iran sent a message after ejecting from his aircraft that illustrated his deep faith: “God is good.”

Trump commented on this message, stating, “This brave warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour.” He later noted that those who knew the officer understood he was “religious,” so “it made sense for him to say that.”

The recent Easter holiday celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christians recognize Jesus as the only figure in history to conquer death, believing Him to be our Lord and Savior – fully man and fully God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords.

Authoritarian governments find Christianity threatening. Karl Marx called religion the “opiate of the masses.” How can one depend on government and give complete allegiance to the state when they believe in a higher power that reigns over all things? Consequently, those who would be masters of the world hate God, Christ, and religion – especially Christianity.

In Canada, quoting from the Bible is considered “hate speech.” Also in Canada, over eighty churches have been set on fire across the country. A similar attack on churches in America is underway, though largely unreported. Government sponsors the lies that instigate these attacks, as Marxist, globalist, and Muslim governments view Christ, Christians, and Christianity as their foremost enemies (with Israel holding a similar position on their list of hatred). The Left has taught generations that everything is relative – no absolute good or evil, no truth or falsehood. These concepts, they claim, are merely instruments of “oppression.”

Followers of Jesus Christ have been accused of seeking a theocracy the Left calls “Christian Nationalism.” The progressive-communist orthodoxy understands that to dominate the political landscape, it must smother its enemy, for nothing should be allowed to place anyone or anything above the level of government.

The enemies of Christianity have positioned themselves as false prophets, proclaiming that nothing exists above their emerging system. To them, religion is “superstition.” Yet their hatred reveals their fear of Christ and Christianity. In their mission to dominate Western society, they reveal their own defeat, for if they were truly triumphant in their own eyes, they would treat Christianity with “pity” and “indifference.” Their rage exposes their recognition of the threat against them. Christianity remains an insurmountable obstacle, and unable to confront this reality, they resort to the rage of a cornered animal.

This partly explains Trump Derangement Syndrome. President Trump has the support of Christians, and as Christianity’s light shines brightly in America, it reveals the Left for what they truly are. Darkness recedes when light strikes it, and the youngest generation is reaching for the faith of their grandparents. Truth has taken hold of America’s reins, while flawed ideologies like WOKE and DEI crawl back into society’s dark corners.

These victories will be met with greater hatred from those who seek things not of God. As the old saying goes, the flak increases when one is over the target. But we must remember that our churches are more than bricks and mortar, and our faith more than mere belief. While leftist mobs seek to demoralize their opposition, faith in Christ stands on reason and truth. As Scripture reveals, their false, resentful rage and evil ways will ultimately die, wither, and fade into nothing.

A friend once said to me, “God is winning. He remains on the throne.” I corrected him: “God has already won.”
