Born: September 19, 1737; Annapolis.  Death: November 14, 1832, Baltimore, Maryland.  Went by Charles Carroll of Carrollton, or Charles Carroll III to reduce confusion since many of his relatives went by the same name.  Education: College of St. Omer.  A signer of the Declaration of Independence.  He was the only Catholic, and the longest-lived (and last surviving) signatory of the Declaration of Independence, dying 56 years after the document was first signed.  He served as a delegate to the Continental Congress and Articles of Confederation Congress.  Member U.S. Senate: March 4, 1789 – November 30, 1792.
