They seem to hate both ICE and Ice… Well, hockey ice, that is.
President Trump shined a spotlight on the progressive leftist Democrats’ hatred of America. He paraded the U.S. Men’s Hockey Team through the media in the balcony above him during his State of the Union address, and it should have been the most wonderful moment of unity during the speech. Yet, the Democratic Party still found a way to hate on American greatness.
The U.S. Men’s Hockey Team played their hearts out, and brought home the Gold. And what happens? The Left goes into full meltdown mode. The elites in Washington, the same people who lecture us on “inclusivity” and “unity,” couldn’t even be bothered to stand up and cheer when the team walked into the State of the Union address. Meanwhile, the Republicans stood up, they cheered, they chanted “USA!” They were living in the moment, celebrating young Americans who achieved something incredible.
The Democrats sat there. Stone-faced. Silent. Why? Because they can’t stand the sight of American success when it doesn’t fit their narrative.
What has been worse than that silence in the chamber of the House of Representatives is that the media is actually reporting on the comments coming from the Left, and they are cheering it on. It’s disgusting. They are actually referring to these gold medalists as “white men with toxic masculinity.” Can you believe that? These guys are rugged, they’re hardworking, they’re tough, and they represent everything the Democrat Party despises. They call it “toxic” because they hate the idea of traditional American masculinity. They hate the idea of a bunch of guys from Minnesota and Michigan outworking the world and bringing home the hardware.
Then, of course, we have the usual suspects accusing President Trump of “politicizing” the victory. Give me a break! Trump is using it for politics? No, Trump is using it to celebrate America! He’s pointing out that when we have a leader who actually supports our athletes, our makes a big deal about it when out athletes win. It’s a slam dunk for the President, and the Left can’t handle it.
And let’s not forget the women’s hockey team. They also won Gold. They weren’t there for the State of the Union so the media and lefties said it was because they didn’t like the guy team, and that they hated Trump, and it was all a bunch of poppycock. Logistics kept them from the speech. They plan to visit the White House to get their congratulations from Trump … and when that happens the heads of the Democrats will explode.
Both teams came home with the hardware, both teams don’t hate Trump, and both teams were excited to represent the USA – and the Democrats can’t stand any of that. This is a moment when Americans should be throwing their arms around each other, saying, “We did it! We’re the best!” But for the Democrat Party, winning is a bad thing. America being competitive, and rising above all other nations is a bad thing. It’s about their socialist concepts of fairness, equity and no sovereignty. It’s about keeping us divided, and trying to make us less American and more like the rest of the world. It’s about finding a reason to boo, a reason to sit on their hands, and a reason to call our athletes or any other patriot that does not fit their little narrative “toxic.”
It’s pathetic. It is truly pathetic. The Left has become so anti-American that they can’t even bring themselves to clap for a bunch of kids on the ice during the Olympics wearing USA uniforms who just beat the world. They’d rather complain about the color of their jerseys or their sex and color of skin than just enjoy the fact that the United States of America is the best at what we do.
Trump says America is winning – and we are! And the haters in the Democratic Party just can’t stand it.
