The money is gone, and the thieves have gone to the bank with government’s blessing. The Feeding Our Future scandal in Minnesota stole at least $250 million from programs allegedly designed to feed children, and federal investigators indicate the total fraud may be in the billions.
While we are beginning to find out who the fraudsters are, what is more alarming is who the enablers are. The foundation for all of this fraud was provided during the Obama regime, during which time the federal government imported more than 54,000 Somali refugees in the name of a very huge loving heart, concentrating a very large portion of them Minnesota. By the time Obama’s gambit reached its zenith, Minnesota had been overrun with the largest Somali population across the United States.
On the surface our hearts were supposed to go out to these folks. Asylum seekers who only wanted a better life. To think otherwise would be racist. Obama and the Democrats of the time knew that the whole thing would either tug on your heart-strings, or silence you with fears of being called a racist. It was all a part of the plan. Create a massive community that is so dependent upon government programs that the government claims for benefits for the underserved would go through the roof. Dependency by groups who claim to be down-trodden and government coming to the rescue looks good on a collectivist resume, the Democrats believe, so they loaded the plate as high as they could.
The Obama administration promoted the policies in the name of caring, feelings, and equity. In fact, in the name of helping out the poor Somali community they even relaxed oversight for minority‑run organizations – you know… because to do otherwise would look – – – racist.
The result? No questioning of any suspicious activity. Bureaucrats lived in fear, because to question any of it would be racist and discriminatory. They feared looking bad or being called a racist much more than stopping any situation emerging that might be wasting taxpayer money or defrauding the federal government.
So, fraudulent claims kept being paid for even when the numbers didn’t quite add up. And then, if anyone said anything? If any officials considered trying to stop the payments? The fraudsters knew how to play the game, suing the state for discrimination. The result? The officials inside the state government balled up into a fetal position, hiding behind their titles, quivering under their desks, and backing down as the fraud grew and grew and grew.
Oversight died. Any American-style system of checks and balances was swept into a closet or pushed under the rug. Nobody wanted to be called a racist, after all – and the Somali Community had learned how to wield that weapon well.
Enter stage left, Ilhan Omar – the Somali member of Congress from the district where the fraud was centered.
She supported the programs, demanded the benefits, and winked with a smile as the rule-makers removed key verification rules from federal food programs. Parents no longer had to bring children to meal sites, and in‑person checks were eliminated when it came to the 2020 Meals Act.
Fraud became easier, and more opportunists jumped on the bandwagon. There were, after all, billions of dollars to be made – and the explosion of fraud rang loudly, with some individuals knowing exactly who was buttering their toast, so they donated to Omar’s campaign. She said nothing, and returned not a single dollar until the screws tightened and the media began asking questions.
Enter Donald J. Trump, and his investigators who noticed what was going on, and began to dig into the whole mess. They began to find connections that had been hidden, connections that linked the fraudsters and their massive network to people getting wealthy inside the Democratic Party.
Ilhan Omar’s wealth wasn’t only through her own adventures, however. Her hubby was raking in the bucks through his venture capital firm called Rose Lake Capital, which listed advisors who previously served as ambassadors and officials in the Obama administration.
“Hmmm,” thought critics and investigators: Why would all of these high‑level political figures be connected, even indirectly, to a region and community of Somalis experiencing the largest fraud case in U.S. history?
The game was not restricted to only Minnesota, either. Not only did it bleed into other states, and God-knows what other kind of fraud by Democrats and their allies have been orchestrated across America, but the money was also crossing the border to international locations. The stolen money was being used to buy property overseas in places that created even more interesting connections: Kenya, Turkey, and other countries.
One wonders if any of those monies got into the hands of terrorist organizations, or other radical anti-American groups seeking our downfall. Think about it… it is very likely that American taxpayer dollars are being used to fund our enemies because of the fraud fueled by Democrat policies that purposely exist with as little oversight as possible.
And we know how the “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” game goes. The Democratic Party officials allowing all of this to happen and keeping their mouths shut made the Somali Community in Minnesota filthy rich with American tax dollars, so the Somali population returned the favor, voting overwhelmingly for Democrats.
Easy-peasy… import a population well known for dependency on government (85% of the Somali population is on some kind of federal benefits), wink and nod because on its face it looks like a poor underserved community is being looked out for, channel billions of federal taxpayer dollars through fraudulent non-profit organizations, weaken oversight, attack anyone who questions the operation as racist to silence them, rinse, repeat.
This strategy worked because ordinary citizens were afraid to speak up, and the officials were either also afraid, or in on it.
Now, as the Trump administration investigates, the knives are out. As the audit advances, and the theft is being identified and attempted to be recovered, the cries of racism have become deafening. All of it as a result of Obama’s Somali resettlement system in the name of asylum. No accountability. No oversight. Lots of money to be made by anyone who wants to join in.
Never mind political agendas – this stuff makes the mafia and the mob look tame. It’s a designed system of fraud. Everyone knew it. And, they played the game willingly by removing oversight, and they got away with it because they have trained an entire generation of Americans to believe in socialist “equity” and that America is systemically racist. The government, they have pounded into the heads of their flock, is there to save you and those poor refugees. And the snowflakes and the progressive radicals cried crocodile tears as everyone else hid for fear of being canceled as a racist should they say something.
Now, Trump is demanding that the fraud be exposed, and that honesty, accountability, and a government that protects taxpayer money gets to the bottom of it, and the Democrats cry foul as the media provides cover. After all, they’ve been making millions and they don’t want the money train to stop and they truly believe they are bullet proof and will pay no consequences.
I am still waiting for the handcuffs and orange jumpsuits to fly off the racks. We’ve been waiting a long time. The hammer has to fall eventually… right?
