California is really “PROGRESSIVE”!  Look and see if this is what you believe to be the direction you would like to see our state going. Certainly, makes me wonder what will happen in the future, one hardly recognizes CA as being “reasonable” anymore.  Lots of folks looking to move away and raise their families elsewhere. You all need to know that the California Legislative Year Closed on Friday. This is an update today on the progressive Democrats’ continued destruction of California. By the way, we already are deemed the worst state for businesses.

Ten Measures that also made it to the California November Ballot
AB 807 (Chu, D) Repeal Daylight saving time. Initiative Constitutional Amendment. (while I am not a fan of Daylight Savings Time, is this really such a burning issue that we need to be addressing it at a time like this?)
1810. Authorizes State Regulation of Kidney Dialysis Clinics. Limits Charges for Patient Care. Initiative Statute.  (will result in the shutdown of dialysis centers, which  would result in the death of those who require those services)
1814. Division of California into Three States. Initiative Statute. (would give Democrats four additional U.S. Senators, but would not go into effect if voted for unless also legislatively approved by the U.S. Congress and California legislature)
1823. Establishes New Standards for Confinement of Certain Farm Animals; Bans Sale of Certain Non-Complying Products. Initiative Statute.  (increased government control that could push many animal-based businesses out of business)
1837. Expands Local Governments’ Authority to Enact Rent Control on Residential Property. Initiative Statute.  (as taxes go up, how can a property owner hang on to the property if rent is forced to remain so low that he can’t pay the taxes?  The property either goes into foreclosure and becomes a vacant property, or the owner will convert them to condominiums to salvage the value of the property . . . so, in the end, the people calling for rent control so that they can have lower rent wind up with no place to live)
1839. Requires Private-Sector Emergency Ambulance Employees to Remain on Call During Work Breaks. Changes Other Conditions of Employment. Initiative Statute.  (do they not deserve a break?  are there not enough ambulances and staff to cover for breaks?)
1841. Authorizes Bonds Funding Construction at Hospitals Providing Children’s Health Care. Initiative Statute.  (while I have not problem with the intention, I wonder if those funds will actually go where they promise)
Here are some more of the highlights of this session:

Passed Cap-N-Trade Tax which will increase gas prices $0.63 to $0.93 cents a gallon and change the taxes that go with it. So do the math projection: (0.12 + 0.63 = 075/gallon + current $3.10/gallon = $3.85/gallon)

Proposed increase on a new tax every residence will pay for tap water!

A $3.46B parks bond to pay for parks in “disadvantaged communities”. The debt service alone will be over $200 million a year. The good news is some money goes to help fix the Salton Sea, which always should have been a State responsibility!

Law to release any lifer (murder, rape, child molestation, etc.) who is 60 years old or older and has already spent 25 years in prison! Charles Manson would have qualified if he just waited a few months before dying; and the Melendez brothers that murdered their parents could be released in about 12 years? What about the victims?
A new $50 charge on all residents living in mobile home parks to address “living condition enforcement” in those parks? What the heck does that mean? As if having to live in a mobile home park isn’t bad enough? Regressive tax on the poor?

Requires Tesla to either unionize with the United Auto Workers Union, or forfeit State incentives to buy their electric cars! Maybe political blackmail doesn’t count as breaking any law. Unions are loving it. “Watch out solar companies…they may be coming after you next!!!”

Reduce from a felony to a misdemeanor the purposeful intent to transmit the AIDS virus to a unknowing partner.  I’m sure the person who just acquired AIDS will be relieved to know that their partner will only be accused of a misdemeanor.

Give preferential treatment to prisoners convicted of serious crimes that are less than 25 years old because their brains are not mature enough to understand right from wrong.

A bill to require our true sex be omitted from driver’s licenses and other documents?

Free legal services for illegal immigrants.

Establish safe “injection zones” run by government to oversee people injecting heroin!
Yep, all the above passed the California legislature and were signed by Governor Jerry Brown. You may consider forwarding this and vote OUT all Democrats in November!
