Massive crowds gathered for auto racing in Washington D.C., as auto racing legends old and new sped through a course that navigated the streets of our country’s capital. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix included both IndyCar and International Race of Champions (IROC) competitions (and some NASCAR legends, as well). Before the main race, military aircraft roared above, and during the race drivers roared on the streets behind the wheels of powerful racing machines. President Trump waved the green flag to get the final race started, and the victor of the 147 laps on a 1.7 miles per lap (250 miles) was American racer, Kyle Kirkwood.
The race was fun, patriotic, and hosted by President Donald J. Trump – therefore, the Democrats hated it.
Senator Adam Schiff attacked President Trump regarding the race, claiming the President was using the motorsports “spectacle” to distract Americans from higher costs and policy failures. Schiff said, “More taxpayer money spent on his self-aggrandizing distractions. And you get higher taxes and higher costs.”
The problem is, like with the White House Ballroom, taxpayer dollars were not spent at all. In the case of the race, major automotive firm Penske bankrolled the event. Not only was the auto race privately funded, the massive crowds of racing fan spectators also was good for the area, with hundreds of thousands of people traveling to Washington to spend money, stay at local hotels, visit sites, and add to the government coffers.
As we constantly see with pretty much all of the Democrats suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, Schiff’s hatred for President Trump and the Republican Party outranks any common sense, and the American People.

As far as Schiff and most democrats, Trump could privately fund finding a cure for cancer and they would complain about the cost to the taxpayer.
