Three bombs have been detonated in Austin, Texas.  Two on March 11, and one on March 2.  They were in the form of packages on the porch, and when the recipients picked them up and opened them, the bombs went off.  Expert job.  It takes a certain level of skill to make a bomb that explodes when it is handled, but keeping it from exploding upon delivery.  Two people have been left dead, a teenager and a 39 year old woman, with a third victim, an elderly woman, still hospitalized.

The explosions, according to investigators, are all connected.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a $15,000 award for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons involved with the blasts.

“I want to assure all Texans, and especially those in Austin, that local, state and federal law enforcement officials are working diligently to find those responsible for these heinous crimes,” Abbott said in a statement announcing the reward.

Austin Police Chief Brian Manley in a statement said that The packages were placed in front of the residents’ houses.  “One of the residents went out front and there was a package on the front doorstep. They brought that package inside the residence and as they opened that package, both victims were in the kitchen, and the package exploded.”
While it has not been determined who is behind the blasts, and no group has claimed responsibility, it is a stark warning regarding what we may be up against.  Between angry leftist “resist” revolutionaries, and Islamic terrorism, the ability to simply kill people in their homes is child’s play.  How long before these explosive devices start going off in shopping malls?  At ballgames?

It reminds us how important it is to seal the border, and create strict guidelines regarding who we allow to immigrate into this country.
