  1. This was done by a talented teenager in AL. Imagine what conservatives could do with an ad like this. BTW music is "Requiem for a Dream" – very moving.

  2. Doug, this is a very powerful video. Anyone who doesn't see the reasons for this do not belong here in the United States. Thank you for posting this one. Watching this makes me love this country and the freedoms it offers all the more.

  3. Requiem for a Dream is the title, released in 2000 to accompany the Darren Aronofsky film Requiem for a Dream. The soundtrack was composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet.

Excellent video Doug … as you get older … don't get sidetracked by drugs and women who are democrats. We need more young men like you.

  4. This video has a problem from the beginning, in showing what is great about this country, it has to point out many ideas, programs, and successes of the great Democrats of our history. The greatest irony of this video is: the main difference between fascism and our democracy is the Democratic component of our system. Also, Pres. Jefferson & Thomas Paine of "Common Sense" were much more liberal than any current Repub or Libertarian would want you to know. As a Vet & "We the People" I say we WON.

  5. Not really, I'm not at all impressed with the right wing mentality of the tea-baggers that underestimate the majority of people in this country that have an understanding of political science and governmental system in this country. Because this "teenager" is using this video montage to promote a political agenda it amounts to propaganda, as such I am calling out the irony of using the secular, liberal successes to promote a conservative political mindset.

  6. In considering the source & intention of this video montage, I concluded that the point was to assert that the people in this video, the heroes of this great Democracy, were the people that this Administration & Congress should not underestimate. When in fact, the vast majority of people portrayed in this video would be or very much are in full support of the President and his principles. My point is: it is the secular & liberal aspects of this democracy that make it great, not conservatism.

  7. "When in fact, the vast majority of people portrayed in this video would be or very much are in full support of the President and his principles. "

Please back it up with historical documentation on the economic positions of 'the majority of people… in this video'…. Please provide evidence of your assertion that any of these people supported nationalized health service, and bailouts of poorly managed car manufacturers as opposed to allowing the market to eliminate them. What an idiot!

  8. You obviously have not done much reading in history – which makes this easy. Thomas Jefferson wrote that if he had ever written out his political philosophy it would be Thomas Paine's, "Rights of Man" (1791-92). Both Jefferson and Paine would, according to the historian John Keane, "had a rejection of dynasty, injustice and tyranny that surpassed even that of Karl Marx." Most of the military in this video had "gov't health care" but everyone wants the expense of premiums lowered, which HCR does.

  9. Wonderful Job – you truely captured what this nation is and stands for – blow off the leftist's jabs that are posted son – when the youngsters can produce something like this and which shows they understand – there is hope for this great Republic! Great Job!

  10. I really enjoyed this and it is obvious we the people were being ignored more than we are now when this was made. The resignations and declines to run in the next elections are showing that while they pretended to ignore us they still felt the pressure. God bless America, Land That I Love!
