I don’t typically watch ABC’s THE VIEW, and I wouldn’t even have known the show existed if it wasn’t for the fact that the lefty ladies of the show always seem to find a way to land on the news desks of America. Since I first became aware of the show, and how biased and sometimes disturbing the show can be, for my own purposes I decided to start recording the program on my virtual DVR.
Recently, the news cycles exploded when Karoline Leavitt was invited to be a guest on the program. Karoline, President Trump’s young and very capable Press Secretary was walking into a hornet’s nest, or at least that is what everybody thought…except Leavitt. Whoopi has a way with talking over people, and thrusting her progressive opinions in one’s face, stumping them, making them hesitate, or simply not giving them the opportunity to give a reasonable response. She is known to skillfully control the conversation when faced with the opposition. As events unfolded during Leavitt’s visit, it turned out she had underestimated Trump’s Press Secretary.
In short, after a heated exchange where Karoline Leavitt got the best of Whoopi Goldberg, the veteran ABC The View host stormed off the stage.
I am hearing that Whoopi was outmaneuvered, was at a loss for words, and didn’t know where to go next…so she got up and walked out. Escaped.
Before Whoopi lost her cool, Joy Behar tried to intervene, going after Leavitt with a “gotcha” question; but when Karoline responded not defending majorities or minorities, but basically saying she had the truth on her side, Behar was shot down and silenced.
A woman in the crowd stood up and agreed with Leavitt. “She’s right,” she said.
The room was silent, deflated and stunned. It seemed like half of the audience was siding with Leavitt.
The internet erupted with the words “Whoopi Lost” trending.
ABC is even talking about the show maybe coming to an end. Did Karoline Leavitt break even Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar?
“Wokeness” was the debate, and Whoopi was trying to corner Leavitt, saying if it wasn’t for wokeness, she wouldn’t have been hired as Press Secretary.
Leavitt said, “It’s ironic that you accuse others of being ‘woke’ while you yourself are so blinded by your own biases.” This comment seemed to catch Goldberg off guard, and she responded by saying, “I’m done with this conversation,” and walked off the stage.
I wonder if the episode will ever be available for viewing.
