Yet another school shooting, this one in Texas, has rocked the country as gun violence on our school campuses seems to be on the rise.
Does the fault lie in our policies as a country regarding guns? Or is it something deeper? What about the individuals committing gun violence? What is it that is sending these people over the edge and into a mode where they are willing to kill?
Today I will be at an American Freedom Alliance event that will address school shootings, and gun violence in general.

school shootings? Because fundamentally, it’s a freedom issue. There is a
vicious downward spiral of policies, cultural pressures and reactions
that becomes apparent when these horrific events occur. Only by
confronting the various components in this spiral: turning our schools
into “soft targets;” the “promise” program and collusion between police
and schools that puts kids in harm’s way; fatherlessnss and the
destruction of families; the war against our boys and the increasing
tendency to see masculinity as toxic; the over-prescribing of
psychotropic drugs; the “celebrity” culture that is appealing to many of
the perpetrators of these attacks – only by addressing these as an
aggregate can we really help protect our kids, our safety and our
freedoms.
And note the other part of this feedback loop: these events –
results of leftist policies – are then used to advance the primary
agenda: to confiscate our guns, make us all more vulnerable to attacks
of ALL kinds, and again, to deprive us of our freedoms.
Join us for this important event and help us break this spiral
and fight back against those who strive in every way, including by
putting our children at risk, to take away our freedoms.
